Albuquerque Thunderbirds Compete in the 2008 Orlando Pro Summer League

Albuquerque, N.M., July 9, 2008 – The 2008 Orlando Pro Summer League began July 7 at the Magic practice courts at the RDV Sportsplex in Orlando, FL. Many NBA Development League players are featured in the 2008 Orlando Summer League including Albuquerque Thunderbirds Ali Berdiel, Will Conroy and Julius Hodge. Berdiel has played one game with the Indiana Pacers in which he had three rebounds and one assist. Will Conroy and Julius Hodge have both seen extensive playing time with the New Jersey Nets. Conroy has played in two games with the Nets and averaged four points, five assists and 1.5 rebounds per game. Hodge has played in three games with the Nets, starting once, and averaging three points, 0.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game.

The six NBA teams participating in the 2008 Orlando Pro Summer League include Oklahoma City, the Chicago Bulls, Indiana Pacers, New Jersey Nets, Orlando Magic, and the parent team of Albuquerque Thunderbirds’, the Miami HEAT.

The 2008 Orlando Pro Summer League lasts through July 11, 2008. The final game for the participating Thunderbirds’ players sees Berdiel face off against Conroy and Hodge when Indiana takes on New Jersey at 11:00AM this Friday.
